Steering tips

Check the power steering fluid: Discoloured or frothy steering fluid could indicate that the system is contaminated by air or water. Low fluid levels will also affect the power steering, and may cause it to stop working.

Any odd sounds?: Steering issues can cause distinctive sounds when you drive. A grinding sound while turning may indicate issues with the steering gear, while a screeching noise when you turn, particularly while travelling at low speeds, may be caused by a loose or faulty power steering belt.
