A bumpy ride: If the ride feels extra rough with every bump in the road making the car bounce, it’s likely that you need to check and replace your car’s struts or shock absorbers.

Listen out for noise: Suspension problems also make tell-tale noises, including a knocking sound through the steering wheel when driving over bumps, squeaking or clunking springs, or banging caused by worn out ball-joints. Any abnormal car noises should be checked out by an expert.

Check your steering: If steering feels particularly heavy or loose, or your car seems to pull to one side while moving, it could be a sign of suspension problems (as well as being dangerous on the road). Always check with an expert at the first sign of handling issues.
